Enerzijds door zelf bijscholingen bij te wonen. (meeste recente was vrijdag 27 mei 2016: “Terugkomdag van de diabeteseducatoren” georganiseerd door de Vlaamse Diabetes Vereniging) Verbluffend hoe de diabeteszorg evolueert! Ook kregen we meer verduidelijking omtrent het prézorgtraject ter vervanging van de diabetespas. Andere topics waren osteoporose en beweging. Een uitgebreid programma dat me zeker van dienst zal zijn in de praktijk! Hartelijk dank VDV!

Anderzijds door mijn kennis aan anderen door te geven. Natuurlijk behoort ook adviesverstrekking in de praktijk tot dit item. Maar in dit bericht wil ik vooral de nadruk leggen op workshops en presentaties die mij te beurt vallen. Als je jezelf voorbereid dat wil je natuurlijk de laatste nieuwigheden doorgeven. Je verplicht jezelf met andere woorden bij te blijven en steeds op zoek te gaan naar nieuwe informatie. Een leuke manier om steeds je grenzen te verleggen en niet stil te blijven zitten. Ook maakt de interactie met cursisten het steeds boeiend. Mijn luisteraars gaan van arts (-specialisten), artsen in opleiding, verpleegkundigen, naar pedicures, personen met diabetes en alle andere geïnteresseerden in podologie.
